The program will be led by Dr. Murugesan Manoharan, a globally recognized urologic oncologist, robotic surgeon, and educator whose contributions to prostate cancer care and surgical innovation have influenced urologists worldwide. Under his leadership, the boot camp aims to provide participants with practical knowledge, technical insights, and exposure to the latest advances shaping the future of prostate cancer management.

Hosted by the Global Cancer Care Foundation in association with the Baptist Health Herbert Wertheim Cancer Institute, the two-day program will focus on contemporary approaches to diagnosing and treating prostate cancer, with sessions covering:

Advanced prostate biopsy techniques

MRI-guided and targeted prostate biopsy

Focal therapy for localized prostate cancer

Robotic-assisted radical prostatectomy

Nerve-sparing surgical strategies

Optimization of urinary continence and sexual function outcomes

Emerging technologies and innovations in prostate cancer care

Interactive case discussions with international faculty

Faculty members from leading cancer centers and academic institutions around the world will share evidence-based approaches, surgical techniques, and real-world perspectives that can be applied directly in clinical practice.

The boot camp is expected to attract participants from multiple countries and provide a unique opportunity for trainees to learn from internationally respected experts while building professional networks across the global urology community. Beyond the educational sessions, the meeting will serve as a platform for collaboration, mentorship, and discussion of evolving technologies in prostate cancer care.

Through the partnership between the Global Cancer Care Foundation and the Baptist Health Herbert Wertheim Cancer Institute, this initiative reflects a shared commitment to advancing urologic education and improving outcomes for patients with prostate cancer worldwide.

As one of the most common cancers affecting men, prostate cancer continues to drive innovation in diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship care. This boot camp aims to equip the next generation of urologists with the knowledge and skills needed to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while fostering international collaboration among future leaders in the field.
